Our selection of models for 2011 keeps growing and there will be more to follow. Here we have a variety of very popular cruisers and customs, a pair of Honda off road machines that have remained extremely popular with riders over the years, plus a revamped and very impressive Big Red MUV. The 2011 model year lineup continues to expand for Honda,said Powersports Press Manager Bill Savino. A pair of popular off road motorcycles return, the CRF80F and CRF100F, along with the Big Red Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MUV). These Hondas include the Fury, Interstate, Shadow RS and Shadow Phantom with the Sabre and Stateline customs released at a later date.

American Honda Motor Company’s Powersports Division announced to its dealers today an additional release of street bikes and off-road models for the 2011 model year.

Smooth engine mapping and specs are pretty much the same as before, with the 99Nm of torque at 7,750 rpm and maximum power of 92kW at 10,000 rpm.

Honda Valkyrie images review

The Honda Valkyrie is a motorcycle that was manufactured by Honda, from model years 1997–2003. It was designated GL1500C in the US market and F6C in other markets.

The Valkyrie engine is a 1520 cc horizontally-opposed six cylinder liquid cooled boxer engine transplanted from Honda's Goldwing model. This was unusual since most "cruiser" style motorcycles were based on a V-twin engine design similar to the engine of a Harley-Davidson. In its transplant from the Goldwing, the most notable engine changes were the camshaft and the change to six individual 28 mm carburetors, one for each cylinder. These changes were made to increase power and torque. These changes also gave the engine a little more character by giving it a unique sound.

The Valkyrie was offered with a reverse gear in Japan. The Valkyrie was made in the U.S.A. at the Honda motorcycle plant in Marysville, Ohio.

New Color Honda CBR 2011

Unfortunately, the specifications for both machines remain the same. Honda’s design team have gone with a bright orange with faux exposed internals. Similar to it’s bigger brother, the CBR600RR gets the tricolour and graphite black, but there is a new design for the electro generation.

The two new options for the Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade include the HRC factory race inspired tricolour and the stealth looking all graphite black.  Honda reveals new colours for some of its most popular models at the 2010 Intermot show in Cologne.

The Best Honda VTR 1000 SP1 2011

Honda had taken the lessons learned in the SP-1's first season, producing the SP-2 The RC51 won again in its final year of factory-supported racing in World Superbike in 2002 and that same year also captured the AMA superbike title with Nicky Hayden. In 2001, Ducati regained the title but the RC51 was still a contender boasting superior reliability with comparable speed and power. That year, it won the World Superbike Championship with Colin Edwards riding for the Castrol team. In 2000 Honda released the RC51, powered by a 998 cc liquid cooled V-twin engine.

Throughout the next 11 years, Ducati would go on to win 8 World Superbike Championships with their V-twins (Honda won two and Kawasaki just one).[2] Despite having an excellent engineering team and a significant amount of funding, Honda was unable to win consistently, particularly because of rival V-twins' displacement advantage over Honda's V-4. In 1990, however, Raymond Roche secured Ducati's first world title aboard the Ducati 851.

The RC51 was designed as the motorcycle to be used by Honda's racing teams in the Superbike World Championship.[2] The 2000-2001 models are designated SP1 while the 2002-2006 models are designated SP2 (the latter having updated fuel injection and suspension systems). During the first two years of the World Superbike championship, Honda won the series with their RC30, powered by a 750 cm3 V-4. Prior to the rules change, 750 cc four cylinder motorcycles were the dominant force in production based competition. 1988–2002 In 1988, new rules in superbike racing allowed V-twin engines up to 999 cc to compete.

Like it or not, automatic transmissions for motorcycles are making inroads, and we can only expect them to become more and more popular. Of course the "traditionalists" (like me) think that "automatic motorcycles" are an aberration of reality.... but lets face it, it will propagate and will bring more people to the sport.

Maybe will bring so many more people to the sport that will make motorcycles a viable transportation vehicle, and with that, will make the general public more aware of "motorcycles" on the road, and that we need!

2011 Honda VFR 800 Adventure Tourer Sketch Two

Honda has released two teaser images as of now and Honda VFR 800X Adventure Tourer will be sporting efficient features like V4 engine configuration, liquid cooled engine, subtle use of designer looks, aero dynamics , 800cc power plant and many more. Speaking of the teaser image, one can only wait to see more of the bike at coming Milan bike expo. Honda has made VFR 800X Adventure Tourer keeping in mind both the aspects of adventure biking (enhanced performance) and comfortable riding.

As far as the image goes, VFR has got good innovative floating instrument cluster that will be within biker’s reach to ensure safe riding. On examining the image closely that reveals sharp edges on the headlight one can ensure the aero dynamics applied. According to the image, the bike has a good designer headlight that will ensure stability and enhance aerodynamics. The second unveiled image of the bike looks great. Honda plans to unveil VFR 800X Adventure tourer along with seven other models at the Milan Bike Expo in couple of weeks from now.

Through the image one can know what exactly the bikes front headlight looks like. The first sketch was unveiled few days ago and now the second look features a close draw of the headlight. Few Days back Honda unveiled the first look of the bike and now the second teaser in the form of a designer sketch looks refreshing. Recently, Honda revealed second design sketch of all new Honda VFR Adventure Tourer.  Honda is definitely rushing to become the world leader in biking technology.

With the CBR1000RR, Honda literally rewrote the rules for the sporting literbike class.
