The "Ducati Monster 1100EVO" has a claimed weight of 373 pounds, compared to the 377 pounds on the ABS-equipped 2010 Monster 1100 and 374 pounds on the Monster 1100S.
Ducati’s Diavel takes center stage at Milan, but the Bolognese firm also revealed upgrades to its large Monster. The 2011 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO is lighter and more powerful, now featuring standard ABS and Ducati Traction Control (DTC).
The latest EVO to join the Ducati line, the new 2011 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO wrings extra horsepower out of the air-cooled L-Twin. The two-valve Desmodromic cylinder head changes, however, with more aggressive cam profiles increasing valve lift.
Perhaps the biggest change to the 2011 Ducati Monster 1100 EVO is the Ducati Safety Pack (DSP), which comes as standard kit. The Ducati Data Analyser (DDA) system is available as an accessory.
Brembo binders now come with ABS as standard, available as an option on previous models. The front stoppers are dual 320mm rotors clamped by radial-mount, four-piston Brembo calipers. The rear is a single 245mm disc and two-piston caliper.
